Bakey (“Application”, “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a mobile application for Android devices designed to assist you with your baking journey. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

a) User-Provided Data

Authentication: We use Supabase to manage user accounts. When you sign up or log in, we collect necessary information such as your email address and authentication credentials.
App Data: Data you create and enter in the app (e.g., recipes, bake logs, formulas) is stored securely in our Supabase Database. This allows you to sync your baking data across your devices and access it whenever you need it.

b) Automatically Collected Data

We use third-party services to collect information about how the App is used and to ensure its stability:

Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) – collects crash reports and error logs to help us identify and fix bugs, ensuring a stable experience.
Google Analytics (Google LLC) – collects anonymized usage data to help us understand app performance and improve features.

The information collected automatically may include:

Device information (model, operating system, identifiers).
App usage statistics (screens visited, actions taken).
Crash logs and performance metrics.

c) AI Features

We use Vertex AI (by Google) to provide intelligent features within the app.

When you use our AI-powered features, the necessary context or prompts you provide may be processed by Vertex AI to generate helpful responses or suggestions for your baking.

We may share information in the following ways:

With Service Providers: (Firebase, Supabase, Google Cloud) to provide authentication, data storage, analytics, and AI capabilities.
As required by law (e.g., subpoenas, government requests).
To protect rights and safety (fraud prevention, security).
If our business is transferred (merger, acquisition, or sale).

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Data Retention

Your account and user-provided data are retained in our database for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time, which will remove your data from our active databases.
Crashlytics and Analytics data may be retained by Google according to their policies. We retain anonymized analytics data for up to 24 months.

You can:

Stop all data collection by deleting your account and uninstalling the App.
Contact us (see below) to request the deletion of your account and associated data.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child has provided data, please contact us and we will delete it.
In the European Economic Area (EEA), the App is not intended for children under 16.
